McDonald's relies on ABBYY's OCR technology to support the mobile app

During the FIFA World Cup, McDonald's Germany launched a special promotion. McDonald's prepared a large number of cups and food packaging on which the company printed a unique code. Consumers could take a photo of the code with their mobile using an app developed by creative agency Razorfish and send it to ABBYY's OCR, where the code was read and converted.

Results: The consumer-friendly app that can read and process coupon codes
